Now Accepting New Clients! Ashley is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Iowa and is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her undergraduate degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 2019, majoring in Psychology. She then went on to earn her Master's degree through South Dakota State University specializing in Clinical Mental Health. She graduated with her Master's in May 2022. Ashley currently works with clients ages 6 and up. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), EMDR, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Narrative Therapy. Ashley strives to create a comfortable environment to help you feel safe in the healing process. Ashley encourages the use of art or play techniques while talking to help strengthen the sense of safety and to encourage engagement throughout sessions. She has worked with clients who have experienced a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, relationship issues, trauma, PTSD, LGBTQ+ issues, and more.
When Ashley isn't at work, she enjoys outside hobbies such as hiking, swimming, and going for walks with her dog. Her indoor hobbies include reading, cooking, and taking naps with her two cats.
