Now accepting new clients! Kristin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Iowa and is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University, and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Iowa. She has experience working with children ages 5 and up, adolescents, and adults with various mental health needs where she creates individualized plans for therapy and wellness. She utilizes strength-based, person-centered, DBT, and CBT approaches. Kristin values the unique journey each individual goes on to find their own healing. She is here to guide you, be your sound board, and challenge you in ways that best fit your timeline and struggles. There is no "right" way but "your" way. She strives to provide a comfortable and safe space, empowering you to see the change you are motivated for! I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and PTSD, LGBTQ+ issues, transitional and phase of life issues, career challenges, self-esteem related concerns.
